Lock of the Day

Tiarose in the 7th at Tampa (#4)

Tisarose was drubbed in his debut losing by 18 lengths. The winner of that race was Mallory Square who won by 15 lengths. Mallory Square was a horse I had been following in anticipation for his debut which he made on Dec 18th at Calder in the slop, where he ran a good 2nd at a price. He wheeled back 8 days later at Tampa and was an absolute lock that day and he won by daylight at 5-2. Tisarose showed a good pace fig that day now drops into mdn claimer. He should get to the lead in this company and wire the field. He is listed at 4-1 on ML but hoping to get 5-2.

Strong Play of day

Sweet Sight in the 9th at Aqueduct (#10)

Sweet Sight went off at a big price in his debut at MSW and ran up the track. The winner of that race was Papa’s Nice Cat, who posted a very good time for the race. Papa came back and ran a really game 2nd in an allowance race last week, losing to STorms Majesty – who is a very nice horse. The 2nd place finisher in the MSW was Cole T, who came back to beat a very nice field of well meant first timers at Laurel on Jan 1. Cole T was hammered at the window. Another horse from the MSW came back to win last week _ Johanesburg SMile. Today, Sweey Sight drops in class and stretches out which he needs, being by Pollards Vision. HE’s 9-2 in ML and we’ll hope for 3-1.

Longshot Play of the Day

Bella Blu in the 6th at Aqueduct (#3)

This could be a complete bomb if he hits because he forms looks bad but he raced against the bias at philly last time so that is a complete throwout. He had improving beyers before that and he likes the inner track at Aqueduct (2 2nds 2 3rds in 4 starts. These low level claimers at the big A often yield unpredictable results so this could be a good spot for a long shot. I’ll be pairing him up with another interested longshot Read the Post in the exacta and including  American Land and Cherokee Trick as well. 20-1 ML odds make a win and place bet a good proposition.

Action Plays

Star over Malibu (12-1) in the 4th and include in excata with positive prospect. He faced tough saarlight in last and lost to Danas bell won a nice race yesterday

Mr Guska in the 3rd at Tampa (8-1) – Loves TAmpa 6 starts, 4 wins and can handle class jump

Canadian Caper Laurel 9th (12-1) Was beaten fav by well meant first timer. Can win for crafty barn.

Swallow Falls in the 2nd at Laurel (4-1) Trainer has been playing games with this one. SHowed up on vet list last week so that could be bad sign.
