Fund Update for 3-19

The Fund managed to make a small profit yesterday as Lucas Brady lived up to his Lock billing. He went off at 5-1.

The day could have been better for the Fund as we had a couple of bad beats. Value Play Western Slew lost by a neck at 5-1. And, longshot saver play Nehelennia came in 2nd with a troubled trip at 17-1. On the bright side there was asaver play that almost the final play list but didn’t. He wound up losing by a nose at 14-1. That would have been hard to swallow.

The other two plays didn’t fare so well. Valdosta our longshot play took some early action at the windows and opened up at 9-1 from a 20-1 ML. He went off at 24-1 so that tells me there were some insiders who may have been expecting more. We may play him back one more time. Fear Nor Favor finished mid-pack. He never made the lead as I expected so I’ll give some of the blame to the jockey.

Thanks To Lucas, the fund gained $55 for the day.
