Horse #2 – Desert Bliss – 8-1
Angles:
1 – Best speed figures in the race. On multiple occasions, ran a higher speed figure than any other horse in the race.
2 – He is dropping in class. The allowance races for NY races are WAY better than these beaten claimers. The horses he lost to NY are far superior animals. The combination of best class and best speed figures is one of the greatest angles in racing. Usually when this dynamic occurs, the horse is favored. Today we get 8-1 ML with a hope of getting 5-1 post time.
3 – The race he exits has all the potential of a key race. He lost to a runaway Proctor runner who was odds on and smashed the clock in excellent time. The other NW3L race that most competitors are exiting was significantly weaker according to my analysis. (the lundi gras race)
4 – The favorites look vulnerable. The 10 horse will be hammered because of the Jockey and won at NW2L when race fell apart – this was a weak field. The 5 comes out of an easy NW2L race on dirt and his turf races prior are not exciting. He will be overbet because of the trainer. Not only do these 2 lose but I doubt they will even hit the board.
5 – Trainer does decent with turfers – won with professor palmer at 8-1.
Win – $25 2 horse
Race has chaos written all over it. So we should do an exacta box with some longshots.
