2016 Breeders Cup Bonanza

Before we begin, let me give a shout out to all my peeps who will be hitting the windows hard down at the Borgata in Atlantic City.

There are ample betting opportunities on the Saturday Breeders Cup Card, and realistic chances to take down some nice scores. In addition to the Triefecta, I am recommending that the Pick 3 become a Staple wager for today give the stronger likelihood of horses winning that may pay between 9 and 15 dollars. And when you sprinkle them in with more juicy prices of 8 or 10 to 1, you can take down some nice pick 3 scores
Fast Pace is at 3 pm EST. Track should be fast with no weather expected. Track is playing fair with both front runners and closers having equal chance on both the dirt and turf.
Here are my picks and analysis for all of today’s races :

Juvenile Fillies
$$$$$
Looks like a great betting race. With a few speed horses signed on and unproven horses at the distance I will be looking for a mid pack horse to win this one.
4-Yellow Agate – Trained by Clement, can get nice stalking trip. Breeding no problem for distance
5 – Sweet Loretta – Should benefit most from stretch out. Undefeated and should also get nice mid pack trip
12 – American Gal – Post not ideal but speed will find her on or near lead. Will be in lead 200 yards from wire
7 – Jamyson N Ginger – Freaked in slop. Should like the extra distance.

Win bet 4
Key top 3 in pick3’s
Trifecta key – 4-5/4-5-7-12/4-5-7-12 —— 12-5/4/ all

Filly & Mare Turf
$$$
Not a great betting race and several wildcards.Plenty of speed signed off to set it up for off the pace horse late. If the favorite is on her game she will be tough. Tread lightly on win bets but tri and pick 3 are in play
8 – Lady Eli – Classy Filly the one to beat and deserves top pick
1 – Sea Calisi – Trainer on fire and may get the best race set up saving all the ground on the rail. Not a fan of Jockey
5 – Al’s Gal – Hard trying horse is probably outclassed but would be best served but stalking the pace. Chance to hit board on best effort
13 – Neuvo Record – Here is a horse who can bomb in at a price. Faced top notch horses and now gets the firm ground she prefers. Could pull the upset.

Small Win – 1 and 13
Trifecta – 8-1/8-1-5-13/8-1-5-13
Tri 8/ 1-5-13-7/1-5-13-7
Tri box – 8-1-5-13
Pick 3 keys – 8-1

Sprint
$
Not a great betting race as one of the favorites has been scratched. And another horse scratched on Wednesday.Tread lightly. Bet pick 3’s only, as there is no win value.
5 – AP Indian – Will get perfect set up in this – track only question.
7 – Masochistic – Speed of the speed. Will likely face tough pace pressure
1 – Mind Your Biscuits – Improved with blinks, can pick up pieces late for 3rd.

Tri straight – 5-7-1
Key 5 in pick 3
Key 5-7 in pick 3

Turf Sprint
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Great betting race and tons of Value
9 – A lot – Turn back in distance will prove key as he can fly late with early pace signed on Turf course is only unknown as he never been on this downhill course.
11 – Undrafted – This is the distance he wants. Has been off form of late but made nice showing for 3rd on this down hill course a few years back. Will be flying late but needs fast pace – could pay big.
2 – Obviously – Lot to like about the horse who should be on the lead. Cuts back in distance which will help him stay late. He should make the lead and there is a very real danger he might wire the field. Regardless, he is a must use in all trifectas.
6 – Calgary Cat – Fast Pace may suit his late kick. Last win looked good though this is a step up and he still has lots to prove.
16 – Green Mask – draws in with late scratch. Capable of hitting board on best day. Was my top pick in last years race at keeneland.

Win Bets – 9-11
Ex box – 2-9-11
Tri 9/2-11-6-16/2-9-11/16
Tri 9-11/2/ALL
Tri box 9-11-2-6
Tri box 9-11-2-16
Key 9-11-2 in pick 3’s

Juvenile

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
With plenty of speed signed on this race could fall apart late. This is a great betting race and big win bets are recommended.
I think it’s ultimately a two horse race involving closers.
1 – Klimt – Tepid top pick can ground saving trip and get up late. Was compromised on speed favoring track in last race which favored inside horses. Redemption today. Has advantage of local course and Baffert is tough in this race
10 – Hard Not to Like – Very impressive winner and speed figure in last. Should also benefit from off the pace trip.
5 – Classic Empire –Will also benefit from trip. Include in all trifectas
9 – Practical Joke – Logical horse to hit board

Big Win bet – 1
Saver win bet – 10
Bog EX BOX – 1-10
Tri Box – 1-10-5
Tri Box 1-10-9
Tri 1/10/ALL
TRI 10/1-5/ALL
Key 1-10 in all Pick 3’s

Turf
$$
Not a great betting race for me so I will be treading lightly and just looking to advance in pick 3’s
4 – Flintshire – Tough horse and the one to key in pick’3
9 – Money Multipler – Toss last on wet turf. Rallied 2 back when catching trouble. Improving horse with great trainer
10 – Found – Winner of this race last year. Can’t ignore in trifecta
6 – Mondaliste – Has well in US with Lasix vs Grade 1. Can make good showing today.
5 – Ashluvsugar – Jockey may try to steal race with lack of pace signed on. Could hit board if pace is slow.

Key 4 in Pick 3’s
Trifecta 4/9-10-6-5/9-10-6-5
Small win bet 9

Filly and Mare Sprint
My least confident of all races is wide open crap shoot.
Which means load up the truck cause I have a tendency to hit my what the heck races
3 – Tara’s Tango – Last was tough race flattered by Beholder winning yesterday. Turn back in distance key today and I think the 7F is perfect
6 – By the Moon – Has tactical speed and can stalk. Improving beyers and 7 F specialist. Track only question.
8 – Carina Mia – 3 yo filly was facing likes of Songbird. Race 2 back is better than it looks as Jockey was to blame.
9 – Paulas SilverLining – May be speed of speed – distance may hurt

Win bets 3 and 6
EX BOX – 3-6-8
Tri box – 3-6-8-9

Turf Mile
$$$$
Euros vs the Filly Tepin billing could be spoiled by US horse getting fast pace set up.

9 – Ironicus – Euro contingent may not be all that good so let’s hope a fast pace develops for this one to close. He was able to fire late into a slow pace in last.
8 – Tepin – Classy Mare takes on boys – was key to big trifecta hit in last years race.
10 – Limato – Euro is classy and will like firm turf. Distance may not be ideal.
11 – Ring Weekend – Capable trainer can have this one ready to fire today. Looks outclassed on paper.
6 – Photo Call – Pletcher horse will gun for lead and try and steal. May hit board

Classic
Terrible betting race to close greatest day of racing. Looks like only 1 of 3 horses can win.
2 – Frosted – can win with speed duel between 2 favorites.
4 – Cal Chrome – Monster horse is one to beat. May face pace pressure from the 10, which could result in winning the battle but losing the war
10 – Arrogate – Wow that last race looked special. Improving 3 yo. Jockey will have decision on whether to send or sit off chrome. My guess he sends.
8 – Shaman Ghost – Got Lasix and improved. Can hit board with pace melt down
3 – keen Ice – may clunk up for 3rd or 4th on best

Superfecta
2/4-10/4/10/3-8 – Hammer
2 /4-10-8/4-10-3-8/4-10-3-8
